The postholder will take responsibility for discrete policy issues which may fall under research and innovation, financial sustainability, skills, learning and teaching, the student experience and the economic role of UK universities.
Working within a wider team structure, with support from managers, this role will work to increase the reach and impact of Universities UK’s policy and advocacy work.
Main Responsibilities
Policy Officers create policy solutions using their analysis of the latest developments and understanding of the political environment. The postholder will analyse data, explore the evidence base and communicate their findings to thought leaders. Policy Officers will have ability to work on multiple projects at any one time and an interest in public policy (a background in higher education policy is welcome but not essential).
